I was really disappointed I couldn&#039;t make one of my original choices work, because they had these really great original recipes with Middle English words and just wonderfully vague wording, as most Medieval recipes do. Oh well, another time! Thanks for choosing a fun theme!</description>

		<description>What a fantastic post! I love hearing cooking sagas - what worked, what made you crazy. You were so valiant in your pursuit of a medieval dessert - I can&#039;t believe how many tries you stuck it out through! 

Thanks for bringing your font of medieval cuisine information to this event. I know how much of a challenge this was - when I was trying to find a medieval European illustration of dessert for the SHF graphic I discovered, &quot;Oh, dessert, not so much a medieval thing.&quot; (I settled for the pie-selling lady who is on the graphic now, but between you and me, we know those pies are savory!)

I think your photographs came out beautifully! The light is wonderful and the tart looks incredibly appetizing! And I love that you included the original recipe in its wonderful wording.
